FAQ
Questions about SteamMeet.
SteamMeet is an independent scheduling tool for Steam friend groups. These answers explain what requires Steam login and what can be understood publicly.
Do I need to sign in with Steam to understand SteamMeet?
No. The public pages and demo explain the scheduling workflow without login. Steam login adds personalization inside the private app.
Why does SteamMeet offer Steam login?
Steam login helps SteamMeet personalize the planning experience with available Steam identity, friend, library, and activity context.
Can other people see my Steam library?
SteamMeet should not make your real Steam library public. Public demo pages use fictional sample data, and real Steam-enhanced features remain behind authentication.
What is a game-night poll?
A game-night poll is a shared planning view where friends compare possible times and game choices so the organizer can pick the best final plan.
Can friends vote without creating an account?
That is the intended direction for guest polls. Phase 1 focuses on public content and a fictional demo before adding persistent guest voting.
Is SteamMeet affiliated with Steam or Valve?
No. SteamMeet is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or operated by Valve Corporation or Steam.
